Crowned King [Football]

When the transfer window opened and the rich clubs were all bringing in the diggers to excavate for new talent, Wenger finally smashed open his piggy bank and bought a youth academy player from the club next door... Arsenal fans couldn't help feeling their hearts sink. In the end, they gritted their teeth and decided that if the new signing didn't have some real skill, they would boo him mercilessly at home. But as the season went on, people gradually realized that Wenger seemed to have finally found the player he'd always wanted most. -Before the new season began, Gunners fans: Fighting for fourth place again? If the new signing doesn't perform, we'll boo him! After the first few matches: Uh... actually, the new signing's not bad. No, to be safe, we'd better keep watching. Midway through the season: Holy crap! What are we still waiting for? Professor, sign a new contract! If you don't, you're no man!! -“I come from the northern reaches of Iceland.” “If you try to find my hometown on an old map, you'll see this written there: ‘Ice dragons spotted here.’” “Alert! Alert! Viking icebreakers incoming!” A few notes before reading: 1. A football RPF derivative work, with a male lead who pursues men. 2. The characters may be out of character, and the setting may be changed to suit the story. Readers who insist on historical accuracy, beware. 3. Sports are the main focus, with romance on the side. The author is a pretend football fan and a poor writer. Suggestions are welcome, but please be polite. Thank you, all you lovely readers.
