In March 1943, German soldier Albert Schumann, who was heroically wounded in the line of duty, was granted a 14-day leave of absence. He decided to go home.
From the land of the Soviet Union in the east to the Pod Plain in the west, Albert saw various sights along the way and recalled his various experiences since joining the army.
