In the Palm of Your Hand

★ Two male leads. The male lead, Wen Xianting, really does forcefully claim the person he wants and is utterly ruthless. ★ Since this is a rather niche subject, I don't want to be writing to an empty audience. I'll start as soon as there are enough bookmarks. [Ye Zhiqiu's blurb:] Ye Zhiqiu, a renowned rising star in the business world, is thirty-three and still unmarried. The only thing he wears on his wrist is a worthless red string. People gradually notice that whenever he lowers his eyes to look at the red string on his wrist, the cool distance in this rising star's gaze softens without his realizing it. Yet whenever anyone asks who gave him the string, he refuses to say another word. Everyone guesses that the string must have been given to him by someone precious to him. Otherwise, why would someone as wealthy as he is wear such a cheap red string on his wrist? Ye Zhiqiu: "I don't know if you'll come back, but I'll wait. If you come back, I'll wait. If you don't, I'll keep waiting forever." [Wen Xianting's blurb:] Wen Xianting remembers perfectly that the day he first met Ying Ruge was rainy and overcast. That day, he went to Qing University to deliver some documents for his grandmother. A young woman in a black dress hurried past him as she left the office building. She dropped her phone, but took his heart with her. Later, before he could catch her, she got together with Ye Zhiqiu. But, Ruge, you understand so little about the depravity of human nature. I love you, so you belong to me. Wen Xianting: "Ruge, so what if you love him? I will never divorce you. Even if I die, you'll still bear my surname. You'll be Wen Xianting's wife." [Reading guide:] ① For the two male leads' character pairings, see Chapter 9 of my column story, "Don't Laugh". ② Although the story has two male leads in terms of plot focus, the ending is one-on-one.
