Used to playing the vicious supporting female role, she is suddenly told to become a meek, long-suffering heroine. She must put up with the hero's misunderstandings and suspicion, and forgive the supporting female character for driving a wedge between them and slandering her. After enduring all the hardships, she will reach a happy ending.
System's friendly reminder: Host, if you go out of character, you'll have to reload from the beginning.
Gu Qingze chuckled softly, wiped away her rouge, and shed her finery. Her coat concealed her slender waist and long legs, and all that was missing was a little white flower on her head. From beginning to end, she was the very picture of restrained gentleness.
When the supporting female character poisoned her, she reclined on a soft couch and clasped the other woman's fingers, pleading in her ear, "You love His Majesty, little sister. I would never dare stand in your way."
When the supporting female character tried and failed to harm her, only to get hurt herself, Gu Qingze carefully applied ointment, her eyes reddening. "Big sister, you have to put yourself first in this world. Don't hurt yourself over a man."
When the supporting female character brought out a DNA test and claimed that the child she was carrying wasn't the hero's, Gu Qingze lowered her eyes. "Yes, I'm not worthy of him."
The System didn't understand. The Host hadn't gone out of character, and the ending was happy, so why was the person who eventually walked hand in hand with the heroine... the supporting female character?
At some point, the supporting female characters' burning gazes began to shift from the hero to Gu Qingze's black hair, swanlike neck, and slender, graceful fingers.
Supporting female character: "What does the emperor matter? I only want to go with Her Majesty the Empress to hear the little tunes at Cuiyue House, like last time."
Supporting female character: "Yes, but you're more important to me."
Supporting female character: "He's not worthy of you. I'll raise the child and take care of you."
They fell for her, went crazy for her, and wanted to strip off her coat to see what her sweet-on-the-outside, dark-on-the-inside heart was really like...
