The World's Favor

Please check the column for my next story, The Scheming Scum Female Lead. Mwah!

A story about the male and female leads joining forces to bring peace to a troubled world and win it together.

Ye Zhi: For Yi Chen, I'd gladly give my life.

Wen Yichen: No kingdom or world could ever compare to Ye Zhi.

P.S. Strong male and female leads with off-the-charts combat prowess. Half jianghu, half court intrigue.

The female lead is ridiculously overpowered: she takes revenge on her enemies, uncovers conspiracies, and fights her way to the top.

The male lead is refined enough for the court and skilled enough for the kitchen. He's a terrific cook.

One-line summary: He helps her conquer the jianghu, and she stands by him as he rules the world.

Updated daily, no breaks and no missed updates, with an extra chapter on Sundays. New chapters go up at 6 a.m. every day.

[Blurb]

What's it like to wake up as a sheltered young lady who never leaves her family home, when you used to be a famous venture capitalist?

Qiao Xin says her venture-capital career can't be abandoned.

It's the annual season for scholars to travel to the capital to take the imperial exams. Qiao Xin sends her maid away and sets her sights on the Gao Sheng Inn, a must-stop on the road to the capital.

Whenever she spots a scholar who doesn't look stupid, she strikes up a romance with him and gives him a lock of her hair as a token of their love.

Then the day the results are posted arrives. A suona band plays right up to her doorstep, and the top scholar arrives with an imperial marriage decree and an eight-man bridal sedan.

Of course, investments are risky. How could she possibly put all her money on just one man?

So there are actually several suona bands, all on their way over.

Qiao Xin: "Who is he?"

What do you do when you're face-blind and can't remember his name?

And what do you do when the project's returns exceed your expectations?

Please note:

1. The female lead is a real scumbag, the kind who steals people's hearts and then refuses to take responsibility.

2. The female lead is face-blind, as shown in this conversation:

Qiao Xin: "I'm face-blind. I'm not with him because he's handsome, since I have no idea whether he is. What I care about is his talent."

3. The male lead is unbelievably good-looking.

4. The male and female leads are each other's only partners.
