[Ye Ying, The King's Avatar] White Hair, Red Robes

Long ago, everyone in the martial world believed that the man with white hair and unseeing eyes, devoted to the way of the sword, would never marry. But in the fourth early spring after the Famous Sword Tournament, all the heroes beneath heaven received a red wedding invitation from the shores of West Lake. Ye Ying, master of Hidden Sword Manor, married just before turning forty. Everyone wondered what kind of woman was fortunate enough to become mistress of Hidden Sword Manor. On the wedding day, a beautiful, white-haired woman in a scarlet bridal gown was led by the wedding attendant through the tables full of wine cups, past the noisy crowd, until she slowly came to a stop before the man she had loved for more than twenty years. Ye Ying's closed lashes quivered slightly. He asked softly, "Have you looked enough?" Beneath the red veil, a pair of dark eyes abruptly shifted away from his face. She muttered, "He's so good-looking, and he won't even let me look..." Besides, she was going to look at him for the rest of her life. His straight lips curved into the faintest, gentlest smile. "Then look all you like." The blurb gives away the ending, as usual. Orz It's been ages since I last wrote historical fantasy, and my writing has gotten so much worse. This should be a slow-burn growing-up story. No transmigration. OOC warning. Just writing for fun. If that's not for you, please click the little X in the corner. Thanks! The official timeline and plot have way too many bugs. I might end up making some sweeping changes later on. 2019.01.09: Story completed 2020.03.18: First revision completed 2021.01.15: In the Name of Heaven: Added scenes to Volume One.
