The school's beauty, Wen Shu, studies diligently, paying no attention to the gossip about her. All she cares about is getting good grades and getting into a good university.
The two don't seem to interact much.
On New Year's Eve, everyone plays games. Zhan Xiuyu gets so drunk he's barely conscious, then sits silently in a corner.
His friend knows he's sulking over the school's beauty. "Come on, there are loads of gorgeous girls around. Why are you hung up on Wen Shu?"
The red-faced guy lifts his chin and puffs out his chest, putting on a haughty expression again. "What a joke. You think I can't live without her?"
His phone rings. He puts it on speaker.
"A-Zhan," comes a soft voice from the other end. "It's raining outside. Would you like me to bring you an umbrella?"
The next second, he jumps to his feet, flustered. "Youyou, be good. I'll be right back!"
Everyone: "..."
