Word Has It the Demon Lord Is the Brokest in the World

The eldest disciple, who was both the first and last to be picked up by the Demon Lord, fell into the water!

The River God smiled. "Demon Lord, oh Demon Lord, would you like this golden disciple, this silver disciple, or this..."

The Demon Lord Mu Yue pointed with absolute certainty and the utmost righteousness. "The gold one! The gold one! No need to doubt it, definitely this gold one!"

The River God: "..."

The River God: "Liar! Goodbye!"

Qin Lan, tossed onto the bank by the River God, sighed. "Master, you should have chosen me. If you had, you'd have gotten both the gold and the silver ones..."

Mu Yue: "..."

Mu Yue, shocked: "So that's an option?!"

Demon Lord Mu Yue was renowned for his irresistible beauty. At the once-every-three-years gathering of the righteous and demonic factions, Mu Yue swept out his sleeve, his collar slightly open. Black was black, white was white. No words could capture even a fraction of his bewitching, otherworldly allure.

Just then, a youth in green slipped out from behind him.

Qin Lan: "Master, watch your pose, or you'll reveal the hole that needs mending."

Mu Yue gave two light coughs and folded his left sleeve over his right. His collar seemed to dip a little lower.

Everyone: sharp intakes of breath.

"That won't do, Master. The Demon Venerable's image is far too important. Let me shield you instead."

Mu Yue: How touching, how heartwarming. What a pure, kind, considerate boy.

Qin Lan stepped in front of Mu Yue, serenely blocking all the admiring gazes.

Ah, Master belongs to me alone now.

So happy! ( ? ▽ ` )?
