[My other work, The Eastern Palace's Beloved Concubine, is currently serializing. Upcoming work: Qing Dynasty Transmigration: Spoiled and Cherished. You can follow it from my profile.]
After transmigrating, Rong Yue became a charming, delicate, utterly insignificant palace maid in Emperor Kangxi's harem, with no favor for three years.
Her rank was low, her family background was poor, and life was unbearably hard.
With a start like this, Rong Yue felt she might as well wash up and go to sleep.
Just as she was preparing to lie low for the rest of her life, she suddenly caught the emperor's eye.
Rong Yue sat bolt upright. Could she still turn things around, and maybe even dream of becoming a favored consort?
The concubines of the harem and Kangxi: Dreaming would be the quickest way!
Later, Kangxi: Being proven wrong really stings!
Kangxi had never imagined that one day he would go to such lengths for a low-ranking consort.
When she cried, his heart ached. When she smiled, he was happy. When she fell ill, he was beside himself with worry. When she was hurt, he panicked.
If someone bullied her, he stood up for her. If someone framed her, he stood up for her again.
He doted on her and indulged her. She filled his heart and his thoughts.
He felt he must have been bewitched by her.
P.S. 1. This is a partially fictionalized Qing Dynasty transmigration story, though some parts of the plot follow historical events.
2. Writing is hard. Please support the official release. Thank you!
3. The story is long, so think carefully before buying the whole thing at once. You can read and buy as you go.
4. The succession struggle among the Nine Princes may not appear.
My ongoing story, The Eastern Palace's Beloved Concubine. Please add it to your favorites if you're interested!
Blurb: As the newest rising favorite in the Eastern Palace, Liu Junyao once thought: As long as she didn't bring about her own downfall, she could coast to an easy life once the Crown Prince ascended the throne.
Then she suddenly realized she seemed to have transmigrated into a book.
The male lead wasn't the Crown Prince. The Crown Prince was merely a doomed villain, and one who met an especially tragic end.
Liu Junyao was close to tears: Was it too late to switch men?
Obviously, it was!
After learning what lay ahead, Liu Junyao chose to let loose completely. If she was going to die anyway, she might as well do whatever she wanted!
But in the end, she guessed the beginning right and still failed to guess the ending!
Thinking about how she'd repeatedly pushed her luck with the Crown Prince over the past few years, Liu Junyao wondered: Is it too late to make amends now?
Theme: As long as life goes on, keep striving.
I have been into novels for almost nine years. I personally prefer short stories. This is really my first novel with nearly 400 chapters in recent years. There is no abuse throughout the whole process. For someone like me who cannot see the gospel of abuse, I still feel unsatisfied after watching the ending, but I always thought that the heroine would be crowned queen in the end. This book is relatively more relevant to ancient times. Compared with other ancient sayings about the emperor only favoring one person, in this book I can see the emperor's love for the heroine sublimating step by step, which is really great!
Is there any extra story? I can't stand it anymore, it's really uncomfortable, there's no follow-up, it's just like I'm swallowing it
This ending is so hasty. I mean...
Is this the end all of a sudden? No extras? Who gave birth to the fourteenth elder brother?
The ending of this extra chapter is too confusing, can't we give it a happy ending?
So suddenly it's all over??? I feel like the last few chapters were written too hastily.
It's over before I can get enough of it. . . Hey, looking forward to the next one.
What about the ending? Gone? Ah? I feel so uncomfortable watching it
No, this ending is too hasty...
Hey, is the emperor still Sisi in the end? (●—●I thought there was one more chapter, but it ended up being gone)
