She bossed the original male lead around, treated her in-laws badly, squandered money, caused trouble everywhere, and even cheated on him. In the end, she brought about her own demise in a gruesome fashion.

Su Ruyi thought the plot was ridiculously clichéd. Without some plot god keeping her in line, she could clear the story with her eyes closed. She wouldn't become another part of the male and female leads' bedroom games.

So why was the plot going differently from the book? The original male lead was clearly the one with ulterior motives toward her!
