[Journey to the West] This Holy Monk Can Catch Demons

Xuan Youlian is a young successor of the Xuan Sect, whose work includes catching ghosts, eliminating demons, reading feng shui, and divining the future. He is known as a Celestial Master.

One day, he transmigrated. When he looked up, people were calling him Holy Monk, Imperial Brother...

Do you think the gods and Buddhas of the heavens know he's a fake?

Wukong: Master! Are you all right?

Bajie: Senior Brother, Master was captured by a monster!

Shaseng: Senior Brother, Second Senior Brother, Master was captured by a monster!

Xuan Youlian quietly hid his precious Mo Dao and slapped a few Forgetfulness Talismans on the monsters.

VIP Announcement:

This novel will enter VIP on July 10. There will be three updates totaling 10,000 words that day. I hope you'll support it! Until we meet again in the jianghu!

1. Xuan Youlian is the uke, and Wukong is the seme. This is my own setting, and Wukong is written as a male idol.

2. The plot doesn't follow the original story. I won't vilify Buddhism or Taoism, or spread religion.

3. The worldbuilding may mix with other Eastern fantasy novels and folk legends.

4. I respect and love the original work. But I won't go too deep or nitpick the details. I'm just writing for fun, so help me hold down Old Wu's coffin lid!

5. The protagonist's weapon is a Mo Dao, one of the four types of Tang swords. There are no archaeological artifacts or textual studies to confirm what it looked like. I personally lean toward it being a long-handled blade. You know the Green Dragon Crescent Blade and the Sky Piercer? Something with a really long handle like those. The Mo Dao may have been a secondary weapon for crossbowmen. The claim in the novel that it was used by cavalry is pure nonsense.

Theme: The Heavenly Way clashes with the plot. The protagonist is forced to play someone else and live another person's life, then seeks a thread of hope within the path of fate already laid out for him.
