Song Dynasty Palace: Everlasting Joy

Emperor Taizu founded the three-hundred-year rule of the Two Song dynasties, but his great ambitions went unfulfilled when he died at the age of 49. Afterward, Emperor Taizong succeeded his elder brother, leaving behind the eternal mystery of the "Candlelight and Axe Sounds." Later, Emperor Taizong sought to consolidate imperial power by campaigning north against the Khitans, but mishandled the situation and suffered a crushing defeat at Gaoliang River. Nearly all the warhorses and supplies accumulated since the Later Zhou were destroyed. From then on, the balance of power between Song and Liao shifted, and the Song dynasty came to be known as "weak Song."

But in another parallel world, what kind of reversal might the different Empress of Emperor Taizu, Song Sangrou, and his consort, Zhou Yihuan, achieve, despite their lonely and difficult lives as widows?

What changes will Ruan Jie, a man from another world, bring to this great struggle?
