Make Your Debut, Bottom-Tier Girl [Entertainment Industry]

This is a realistic entertainment-industry story, dedicated to all the unknown people I've ever loved.

If you only like feel-good stories where everything goes smoothly and the protagonist keeps leveling up, this might not be for you.

Shen Yanman once had a chance to debut, but she was cruelly dropped just before the release.

For the next two years, despite being with one of the industry's two biggest companies, all she could do was work as a backup dancer for groups and artists who had already debuted. Then, after they had drained her of any value, they sold her off to a newly established small company.

Determined to go all in, she got a spot on a girl-group survival show. Becoming one of the final seven contestants to debut was her only chance, and her last one.

Despite her looks and talent, the show's ruthless editing ruined her reputation with the public. Even after falling into the lower ranks, she refuses to give up. Having suffered before, she never wastes a second in front of the camera and is determined to raise her ranking.

Who says a girl in the lower ranks can't debut as center?! Who says the lower ranks are the end of her career? She'll debut as center and prove it to you!

The romance is one-on-one, both leads are inexperienced. The male lead is a seemingly proper superfan. He was once the female lead's junior, and later becomes a major figure in the entertainment industry.

Please note!

1. This story was inspired by the Korean version of Produce 101. It borrows some elements from the competition format, but also has original elements. The songs, celebrities, and companies are all fictional, and are not based on real people or events.

2. The author is a fan who follows both the Korean and Japanese entertainment scenes and has fairly high standards for idols, so please don't argue over some of the plot points.

3. The romance begins after the female lead transitions to a new phase. From the inside out, she embodies the ideal idol.

The trainees' contracts in this story last 5 to 15 years. The company ranks above the agent, who ranks above the trainee.

Being rich doesn't mean you can get everything you want. Everyone has to work hard for themselves.

The Girl in the Lower Ranks will debut tomorrow (July 8), when it becomes a paid novel!
