The Old Man's Darling [The Sixties]

Today's free promotion! Please check out and support the author's new story, "Reborn: Leaving My Husband and Child Behind."

Granny Hu died. She discovered that she was living in a novel. Unfortunately, she wasn't the heroine who had transmigrated into the book. That was her daughter-in-law. She was just a vicious mother-in-law, casually written by the author.

So she was made biased and wicked, hated by her husband, resented by her children, and despised by her grandchildren. In old age, she was destitute and died on a cold winter's day, with no one shedding a single tear for her.

Granny Hu came back to life. Since her husband hated her, her children resented her, and her grandchildren despised her, she was done with those ungrateful wretches. She'd be better off enjoying life on her own.

Story blurb: The male lead is a handsome local older man, and the female lead is a sweetheart from a cultivation continent. It's sweet all the way through, with no angst.

At first

Su Yinyin (expectant): Are you my husband?

Meng Chuyan (helpless): I'm not your husband. You should call me big brother, not uncle...

Later

Meng Chuyan (holding back): Yinyin, call me your husband. You can call me uncle, too...

Su Yinyin (deliberately): No way. You said you weren't my husband, and I can't call you uncle either...

Meng Chuyan (regretful): Yinyin is so stubborn. I really wish I could go back and beat up my past self.

The female lead has delayed brain development and is a little foolish, but she's very cute, extremely cute, and very obedient. Please don't discriminate against her!

Warnings: 1. There is a 15-year age gap between the leads. It's a very big age gap, so don't click if you can't accept that. If you do click and find it's not for you, that's not my responsibility.

2. They are not each other's first. The male lead is divorced, not devoted, and not a chaste, repressed older man. The female lead is intellectually disabled and obsessive. If these are deal-breakers for you, or you're a reader who demands spotless characters, don't read.

3. This is not a historically accurate period novel. I only guarantee there won't be any fundamental errors. If you don't like it, please move along, and don't nitpick the historical details!!!
