Synopsis

The good-for-nothing samurai Sakata Gintoki has been broke for ages. Even after becoming a Saniwa, he still lives a lazy, impoverished daily life.

The sword warriors: Gin-san, are we not going on an expedition again today?

Gintoki: You guys, are you early [beep, ] or just battle-crazed?

The sword warriors: Gin-san, the Honmaru is out of money for sweets.

Gintoki: An expedition! Come with Gin-san and conquer the whole world!

A slice-of-life story, sometimes heartwarming, sometimes funny.

A jobless layabout who doesn't take care of his swords isn't a good samurai.

Couples undecided (?)

Gintoki, men like you more than women do. By the gorilla Kondo

My other completed novel, One Piece: The Hardest Bond to Sever, tells of the amazing adventures of Luffy and his companions.

Together We're Silver, Apart We're Stars Across the Sky

No original protagonists, no self-insert romance. Recommendations centered on Gintoki. I read widely and keep this list for myself, often skipping around. Faithfulness to the original's feel matters most. Maybe one day I'll make a collection of my recommendations.
