818: The Guide Who Deceived My Feelings

Chu Qing, an older, unmarried female sentinel stationed on a remote planet, was matched by the System with a guide whose compatibility with her was an astonishing 99.5 percent. Her superior said the other woman came from a prestigious family, was fair-skinned and beautiful with long legs, and was also a renowned mecha designer in the Alliance. Although the match had been made by the Alliance's System, it wasn't compulsory. Chu Qing knew perfectly well that someone like her, just a low-ranking soldier, wouldn't stand a chance with the other woman. Then one day, the fair-skinned beauty with long legs suddenly appeared before her. She smiled with gentle grace, her eyes brimming with charm. "Hello, I'm Luo Zhaohua, the guide whose compatibility with you is 99.5 percent. They say we're made for each other." Looking at the gentle smile of the woman across from her, Chu Qing's brow twitched. She felt a chill run down her spine and wanted to turn and flee. Reader's Guide: ◆ An alternate future setting, with interstellar mecha. Also known as Absolute Compatibility. ◆ Pairing: Luo Zhaohua (guide gong) x Chu Qing (sentinel shou). Primarily told from the shou's perspective, but also includes some scenes from the gong's perspective. ◆ Important: This sentinel-guide story has lots of author-created worldbuilding. Sentinels, guides, and ordinary people are all equal in this story. ◆ The writing is terrible and the plot is melodramatic. If that's not your thing, don't read it. No fighting, and feel free to come and go as you please. Qing, there's no need to let me know you're leaving.
