Heian-kyo.

Monsters abound.

The Hundred Demons' Night Parade.

"She burned the skin off my face and made me wear a Hannya mask to kill pretty girls. That's the kind of princess she is."

"She chopped me in half and asked whether I was the part with hands or the part with feet. I gave the right answer, so now I have no feet. That's the kind of princess she is."

"She scooped me out, then shoved a spoon under my skin and told me to go scoop out other people. That's the kind of princess she is."

No one knows the monster's name. Perhaps those who glimpsed her through the cracks in time gave her one, but she simply didn't know it, or wouldn't acknowledge it.

Simply put, this is a short story that grew out of an image that suddenly came to the author while eating. The plot and such don't matter. The author just wanted to capture that feeling.

Unrelated to the game Onmyoji, and only very loosely related to the novel Onmyoji. You can ignore that connection.
