In first grade, Ni Zhengyu was an adorable little boy:
Every day, Ni Zhengyu brought a backpack full of snacks to school.
He told Xiong Minghuan, "I've got lots of food in my backpack. Everyone can have some, and you can eat as much as you want!"
In middle school, Ni Zhengyu was a delinquent:
Ni Zhengyu and Xiong Minghuan sat together. During a break, Xiong Minghuan was dozing with her head on the desk.
The boy behind them teased Ni Zhengyu, "Watching your girlfriend sleep?"
Ni Zhengyu grinned and snapped, "If you know that, why are you being so loud?"
Xiong Minghuan heard the whole exchange while half asleep, and kept pretending to sleep, mortified.
In high school, Ni Zhengyu transformed into a scheming top student:
On a dark and windy night, Ni Zhengyu turned into a ravenous wolf and finally stole Xiong Minghuan's first kiss!
Xiong Minghuan's eyes widened. She protested, "Give me back my first kiss!"
Ni Zhengyu gave her a wicked smile and put on his domineering CEO act. "Sure. I'll give it back."
Then he kissed her again, right away.
When they were grown up, Xiong Minghuan asked Ni Zhengyu, "What is love?"
Ni Zhengyu chuckled. "You've been an idiot for years, and I never left you."
Childhood sweethearts. A sweet little treat.
