[DC] Punishment

The way to punish a man who is too romantic and passionate, who has endured countless trials and sorrows yet still has stars in his eyes, is to make him fall in love with someone like himself. This person should be his equal, or even stronger than him. He must not be a block of ice, because just the right amount of warmth would make him even more captivating. Nor should he be a bar of red-hot iron, because too much heat would only make him unpleasant. He should be handsome enough to beguile, and talented enough to conceal his true nature. He should be even more carefree and passionate, willful and resolute, so the man can taste the bitter fruit of the arrogance and passion he inflicted on others.

In the end, someone understands that he struggled through the darkness, gave far more than he received, and bore too much pain that was never his to bear. So, after he has been punished, they allow him to reveal his vulnerability before them and find redemption.

This is a competitive game of survival of the fittest.

This is also a war of love between two hunters.
