Stuck in a Forbidden Romance Plot with My Archenemy?!

Only after Gu Miaochan gives her nemesis a love poison does she remember that she's a female supporting character in an explicit novel. Her nemesis, Xie Jingchun, is the story's great villain! In the original plot, the moment she steps out of this cave, a demon beast hiding in the shadows will bite her and damage her spiritual root. She'll then stagger back and have dual cultivation with Xie Jingchun to save her life. But with her spiritual root broken, she won't live much longer. Xie Jingchun, on the other hand, will become a notorious great villain after her death. Thinking about her doomed fate, Gu Miaochan suddenly gets a brilliant idea. Why not just have dual cultivation with Xie Jingchun now? That way, she can skip the part where her spiritual meridians get bitten through. She returns to the cave and, under Xie Jingchun's deep gaze, says: "Fellow Daoist Xie, I can help you undo this love poison." "Wasn't it you who poisoned me?" Gu Miaochan: "..." If he's going to talk like that, she has nothing to say. But in the end, they still had sex out of spite. The good news: the love poison is gone. The bad news: it hasn't been completely cured. They become secret lovers. Gu Miaochan: "..." She doesn't remember this part being in the original plot! Damn it! Every time they have dual cultivation, Gu Miaochan secretly drains a little of his energy to make up for how much she resents having sex with him. Anyway, in the original story, Xie Jingchun ascends in just a few years. She hears he turns the Upper Realm upside down, but by then it has nothing to do with Gu Miaochan. Thinking about the easy life she'll have after Xie Jingchun leaves, Gu Miaochan nearly laughs out loud. But Gu Miaochan never imagined that Xie Jingchun would keep putting off his ascension. She's drained him so much, she's practically about to ascend herself. Gu Miaochan: "...???" Is this right? Theme: Have the courage to correct your mistakes.
