Shen Xi replied righteously, "Like I'd make you surrender even if it killed you."
Someone asked, "What does it feel like to pursue someone for years and have them not like you back?"
Shen Xi gave a slight nod. "You'd be fired up enough to conquer him, then end up completely heartbroken."
A few years later, Shen Xi asked smugly, "Gu Chen, what do you like about me?"
After thinking it over, Gu Chen smiled and replied, "I like that you like me."
