Encountering a Ghost

Mai Mai thought life had been a little strange lately.

Specifically:

“The dog at home suddenly stopped barking.”

“Even with the heating on, the house is still freezing cold.” And

“Her husband only appears at night.”

After some time,

Even Mai Mai began to change.

He became afraid of strangers and cold, and eventually didn't even dare to leave the house. He only wanted to stay home and wait for his husband to return from work.

Her husband, who came home late, turned a blind eye to all of this and even seemed to encourage it.

The man's body was cold, but Mai Mai didn't notice at all.

He held the man close. Only in his arms could he feel whole.

“Mai Mai.”

“Mm?”

“Your belly's getting fat.”

“...Mm.”

“Don't go out anymore.”

Mai Mai slipped out of his arms, only to have his neck seized and be kissed until he could barely breathe the next second.

“Mine.”

“My Mai Mai.”
