[Detective Conan/Magic Kaito] If We Had Never Met (Kaito X Akako)

[Strong Warning] Childhood friends don't stand a chance against the one who arrives later.

Expected to be a short-to-medium-length story. Updates will be irregular, the word count is uncertain, and I'll write the plot as inspiration strikes.

- Red Child: "Kuroba! Pull yourself together! Please wake up... I'm begging you, don't leave me all alone."

- Kuroba: "I was kidding. The great Kaitou Kid isn't going to die that easily. Miss Witch, just admit it: you have feelings for me, don't you?"

- Red Child: "...Yes."

Koizumi Akako held Kuroba Kaito tighter, as if summoning every ounce of courage she had.

You are the trial fate destined me to face.

Candlelight flickered in the castle. Akako gently stroked the portrait hanging on the wall. "I fought with all my strength against the current of time, just to see your smile once more, Yuna..."

Note!! This story has a subtle connection to "[Detective Conan] The Last Witch," but it doesn't take place in the same world, so you can read it on its own. Yuna doesn't actually exist in this story, but her presence runs through it from beginning to end.

Theme: The Kaito-Akako fans still refuse to give up!
