Split the Mountain

The female lead is reborn in the body of an unfortunate woman from the Ming dynasty. Because the woman's birth family is more powerful than her husband's, her sisters-in-law and mother-in-law grow jealous and spread rumors that she has been unfaithful. While her husband is away serving as an official, her deranged mother-in-law solemnly tells her father-in-law that the woman has been sleeping around. The father-in-law writes to the woman's father, and her biological father replies, "Whether she lives or dies is for her husband's family to decide." The unfortunate woman is locked away to await her death. Then the female lead is reborn. In return for taking over the woman's body, she promises to avenge her.
