This article studies a pair of childhood friends who have known each other since kindergarten. Against the backdrop of communist philosophy, it follows changes in the psychology and behavior of one protagonist, Shang Zhou, as a case study, interpreting the development of human friendship and love, as well as contemporary young people's choices regarding marriage.
