The Hidden Era of Danmei Gaming

Ever since I started school, I’ve had a crush on a boy.

But he’s never felt that way about another boy.

He only sees me as an ordinary friend, or a best buddy.

All I can do is play one game after another with him, using them as a way to get closer.

As we play each game,

my past is gradually revealed.

He is as pure as a blank sheet of paper,

while I have buried countless stories deep inside.

This novel recounts almost every game experienced by boys born in the 1980s,

and the sorrow of a boy who will forever remain in love with another boy.
