[Naruto] The Fox I Raised Is Mine

Orochimaru had a white-furred fox who had been with him since childhood. Besides their lives, his parents had left him two other things, and this fox was one of them.

The other was a magatama-shaped earring.

Not long after he defected from the village, his fox died too, leaving him all alone.

He began researching the Impure World Reincarnation Jutsu.

During the Konoha Crush, he reincarnated the past Hokage, but ultimately failed. He lost both his hands and could never use ninjutsu again.

But he was happy, because the fox he'd sealed in a scroll to preserve its body and suspend time had come back to life. It had even become a baby... a baby with fox ears and a tail, as if it had cultivated itself into a fox spirit.

It also had some connection to the Second Hokage. When he made his hurried retreat back then, it seemed he had taken something from the Second Hokage. Later, during the Fourth Great Ninja War, he discovered that his fox really did have a special relationship with the Second Hokage.

Faced with the past Hokage, all revived except the Second Hokage, and his fox, who had suddenly grown from a child into someone who looked exactly like the Second Hokage, except that it appeared to be only sixteen years old, Orochimaru declared: "It doesn't matter what you look like. You're the fox I raised, and no one can take you from me, not even the God of Shinobi!!"
