Corpse Immortal

Three thousand years ago, Shao Lichen, heir to the position of leader of the Xuantian Sect in Qianyuan’s Eastern Continent, died inside a secret realm after his junior sister and close friend conspired against him. By a twist of fate, however, his corpse was restored by a corpse-nurturing array set up by the secret realm’s original owner, the Dao Lord Fuzang, who had died hundreds of thousands of years earlier, and became a corpse puppet. Shen Mu scattered Shao Lichen’s soul, but it flew into the soul-nurturing wood treasured by Dao Lord Fuzang. There it slept for three thousand years as its three souls and seven spirits fused once more. When Shao Lichen’s soul awakened, it merged with his corpse puppet body. Unable to practice his original cultivation arts because he was neither corpse nor human, and needing to replenish yang energy to maintain the balance between soul and body, Shao Lichen found ancient cultivation methods collected by the Dao Lord in the secret realm. He cultivated the Yin Pole Cycle Art with his corpse, then refined the secret realm’s core and returned to the cultivation world.

I’m worried people might accuse me of plagiarism, so I want to clarify that this line in Chapter Three, “When yin is alone, it cannot give birth; when yang is alone, it cannot grow. If there is yin without yang, or yang without yin, it is called a solitary flower without kind, and true spirit cannot form,” came from Baidu. I don’t know the source; it seems to be an interpretation of the Book of Changes. That’s all.
