"Can Selling Mystery Boxes Make Me a Savior? [Management]" is currently updating. If you like it, lovely readers, feel free to check it out on my author page!
The next story is "Scavenging in the National Survival Game." The heroine is still Xia Ji. Visit my author page to find it!
Blurb:
Xia Ji accidentally binds to a management game System and transmigrates to a planet in the future. But unlike the beautiful interstellar world depicted in novels, this is a dead planet with no native life. Relentless rainstorms continue, and the imported plants and animals are going extinct one after another. Its remaining five hundred million people struggle to survive.
"Ding! The game 'Crossworld Manor' is starting. Player, please get ready to receive your identity as manor owner."
A manor owner? Xia Ji opens her game interface and points to her achievements from the previous world: "Innocent Heart," "Serving the People," and "The Nation's Good Daughter." She says, "What's the fun in going it alone? Isn't it better to hand this over to the country?"
**
When the Huameng Alliance launches "Crossworld Manor" and announces that it is a fully immersive game capable of connecting to other worlds, the citizens of the country are shocked and bewildered. They think the government must be joking, but can't help believing it. Countries hostile to Huameng think the alliance has gone crazy and is giving up, and that their own country now has a chance to become humanity's leading power. Countries that have long hoped to join Huameng and be carried to prosperity are disheartened: even the greatest power, Huameng, has gone mad. Humanity really has no hope.
But after playing "Crossworld Manor"
They have sunshine! They can log in every day and bask in the sun, and the rainy days in the real world seem more pleasant by comparison. Even the life-threatening condition known as rainy-day syndrome is cured without treatment.
They have food! They can log in every day to farm, hunt, and do handicrafts, saving up work points. After logging out, the country gives them food according to their work points: rice, wheat, fresh vegetables, fat pigs, fresh chickens and ducks! In the fifth year of Hope Star, they've finally gotten to eat something besides fish-flavored nutrient fluid. Sob!
The people of the Huameng Alliance: So good! The country really is the best!
Hostile countries: Humanity is in peril. Huameng should hand over this technology and the passage that let their minds transmigrate to other worlds!
Countries asking to join: Big brother, since you can restore production in another world now, why not let us join Huameng? Surviving on our own is just too hard!
Reader advisory (spoilers and content notes):
① An original interstellar setting with lots of invented details. The game connects on one side to a human planet in an apocalypse of relentless rainstorms, and on the other to an ancient Western world inhabited by multiple species, including elves, dwarves, goblins, minotaurs, and other strange races. These races also include plenty of original details.
② This is a story about handing everything over to the country, not a female-led power fantasy. The heroine may sometimes feel like a tool for the plot.
③ The romance is in the extras.
④ An idealistic story. The country focuses entirely on development and survival. There are no political intrigues or political drama. Farming, building infrastructure, and getting on with life are the main plot.
⑤ Criticism is welcome, and zero-star or negative reviews about the plot are allowed. However, I don't accept personal attacks against the author, insults from people who haven't read the story, or insults from people who read pirated copies. Suggestions are welcome, though I may or may not adopt them.
⑥ A friendly reminder: please don't mention other novels in the comments, and don't mention my novel under other authors' works. Let's enjoy the story in a friendly way. We're all civilized people. If you really can't hold back, you can post in the readers' section of the forums.
⑦ I don't have a Weibo account. I stopped using my old one a year ago and have forgotten the password.
Blurb for "Can Selling Mystery Boxes Make Me a Savior? [Management]":
After failing to sell turtle matching-game mystery boxes at an outdoor stall, Wen Xia binds to a mystery-box livestream game System. She starts with one livestream room, and her customers come from countless worlds.
From then on, Wen Xia opens turtle mystery boxes for customers in the ocean world, mystery boxes containing food shops for customers in the hunger-sickness world, fruit mystery boxes for customers in the interstellar world, doll mystery boxes for people in the Eerie world, and beverage-bottle mystery boxes for customers in the drought world...
At first, people in the various little worlds scoff at the suddenly appearing mystery-box livestream. But later
Ocean World: Oh my gosh, this turtle can travel through seawater, and it even releases poisonous gas when it encounters man-eating fish!
Polar Night World: Wow, this beautiful bead not only helps plants grow normally, it also dispels sadness!
Interstellar World: Sob, so this is what the fruit in our textbooks tastes like! It's so delicious!
Eerie World: Good heavens, this doll can beat the terrifying Eerie until they run for their lives!
Drought World: The drink is real! It doesn't just quench your thirst, it also gives you the corresponding buffs!
The worlds above are in no particular order. More worlds await unlocking...

Reader advisories:
① Inspired by the hugely popular turtle mystery-box unboxing livestreams. The author also wants to experience the joy of unboxing mystery boxes vicariously!
② This is a romance, so there will be a male lead, but it's unclear when he'll appear. He probably won't have much screen time if he does.

Theme: Explore creative ideas and different ways to play, in a story focused on infrastructure-building and farming
I stayed up late to finish reading it. The writing is really good and it's so beautiful (??ω??)??
Congratulations on the completion. I would like to make a small suggestion. It can be seen that in many places the author is afraid that we will not understand, so balabala explains a lot, which seems very cumbersome. It's not that you can't explain it, it's that you can't write it in such long paragraphs. You can change the angle and method in the middle. There are really too many such explanation paragraphs. Although it can be explained very clearly, it is difficult to read. Not very happy
Nice. Will there be new pitfalls in other worlds?
Great novel wow wow wow
Very interesting. I like stories where the heroine travels to the next world.
Very pretty! ! I just think it's too little. You could write it as slow time travel. Ugh, oh, oh, oh, I really want to see the follow-up of the heroine and the system.
It's good-looking. Because it doesn't include many details (such as the "plots" and "fighting and sacrifice" of conquering the New World), it may have sacrificed some of the heart-stirring classic portrayals. However, the story has been told quite completely. Although it has an apocalyptic background, there is some warmth, justice and hope flowing throughout the story. It is not depressing and praises it!
