Under a floor lamp hanging low, the light fell just right on Ruo Shui's face. Qiao Chu could finally see her features clearly: so striking, with a touch of classical beauty. She couldn't help studying her, and found herself drifting off.
Ruo Shui, vinyl records, old songs, tea.
Before bringing Ruo Shui back, Qiao Chu had tried to imagine what she would be like, but never could have guessed. She was so delicate and lovely, with an air as if she had stepped right out of a painting.
A girl who listens to vinyl records and knows the art of tea. Qiao Chu simply couldn't associate her with Zhou Linshan, an IT woman who spent all day immersed in cutting-edge technology, code, and programs. They had completely different personalities, different energies, different worlds. How could two such dissimilar people still be best friends?
And what about Qiao Chu and Ruo Shui? Wasn't Qiao Chu also a woman who spent all day immersed in cutting-edge technology and code? Could their worlds become one?
Theme:
After reading it again, I realized that there is so much flesh and blood and the author's writing style is very healing. I used to love Ruoshui crazily, she was so holy, but now I have learned to let go. I love Ruoshui and I love Qiao Chu, and I wish them happiness forever.
I don't know how many times I have read it, from Liuhen to Ruoqiao, the same pen tells an eternal story, warm and affectionate, weak water, only one scoop, that person can be ordinary like you and me but so dedicated. I like the dinosaur-like flaming clouds at the end of Leaving Traces, but the sunset on Ruoqiao Zhong's rooftop is heartbreaking. I can't help but look at the afterglow at dusk these days. The only difference is the author's state of mind, but integrating Buddhist philosophy into the story is indeed a great wisdom. It is not inconsistent at all. I just don't understand why people who come into contact with Buddhism must suffer disasters first. Do they really have to suffer millions of disasters? Maybe life teaches us a new understanding of the world. It is really gratifying to see Ruoshui gain a new life. Maybe it is also the harvest of the author's practice. When I have time, I really want to go to Japan to practice Buddhism, which is the purest Buddhism in Southeast Asia. Reading your article brings warmth in ordinary life. Grateful
I really like this paragraph: "If it weren't for attachment, I wouldn't be in such pain. Even if I hold it in my hand, I would still feel fearful and uneasy all day long." When I was young, I liked someone to the core, but in the end I became paranoid and even had low self-esteem. I felt that the love I experienced was a joke. Looking at that person's back, I secretly made up my mind that I would never let this person change my future life. But in the past six years, I have had many midnight dreams, and the events of that year are still vivid in my mind. In the dreams, I always sit so quietly and melancholy, suppressed and unable to speak. When I wake up, my eyes are full of tears, and I feel disgusted when I look at myself like this. I wipe away my tears and put on beautiful makeup. I am that young lady who is clean and tidy in daily work, positive in the eyes of others, self-disciplined and colorful in private. If it weren't for this midnight dream that troubled me and made me irritable, I would have thought that I no longer had any obsessions. It wasn't until many years later that I slowly stopped having such dreams. I thought I finally let go.
Thank you Xia Tian for bringing us a warm story that talks about Buddhist fate and cause and effect. I can feel the changes in the author's state of mind between the lines. People always need to be freed from some kind of enlightenment and then move on. Thanks again.
Thanks for this book, I read it again after two or three years and had a different understanding.
Familiar writing style, I have to read each chapter many times. When can I write a new article?
In 2018, I registered in Jinjiang. I was not familiar with Jinjiang at that time and didn't know there was a lily category. Then I foolishly searched for the four words "lily novels". Did you know that the first article I found was the book "Ruoshui Qiaochu" written by you. I'm very happy to meet you. It's August 2019. Time flies so fast.
I love reading your books in the vast sea of books. I registered a Jinjiang account at the end of 2017 and read the books you were most interested in at the time. Yesterday, I suddenly wanted to read your writing again, so I logged in to take a look. Maybe it was "fate" that I read this book of yours. Predict the causes of past lives and the consequences of this life. In the early years, I also encountered unreasonable and difficult people like Jiang Yaying. At that time, I didn't understand love, I kept rejecting, and I was afraid of establishing an intimate relationship with "anyone". Looking back now, I should be afraid of the pain caused by love. I have never been too entangled (persistent) with relatives or friends. Many people say that I am free and easy. Now that I understand Buddhism, maybe it was the seeds in my alaya consciousness from the beginningless kalpa that made me naturally choose not to be attached. I once thought about becoming a monk, but I chose to stay temporarily. Maybe the time to become a monk has not come yet. Who does reincarnation come to, maybe I am waiting for someone... No matter whether you are waiting for someone or not, please be kind to everyone around you every day in the future. We are all on the road to the grave. A day that passes will never come again. How can there be so much melancholy and confusion? Namo's master, Sakyamuni Buddha!??
Xia Tian, when will you publish your next article?
After so many years, Xia Tian brings such a sweet work that transcends love. Tomou couldn't help but guess that this was probably some of Xia Tian's life insights over the past few years that were reflected in the article! This is a work that calmly stings the viewer. I remember that Xia Tian's previous works also made people feel so painful, but this is the first one that made people think about the pain after finishing it. Tuomou still doesn't have much Buddha-nature, and he probably hasn't been able to start practicing Taoism in this life, but he can envy people who can see through the world of mortals. Those people are very ruthless in the eyes of ordinary people, but if you think about it carefully, they are probably jealous because they can't get it! Or be fascinated by the three poisons! I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore. I just want to say, thank you Xia Tian for bringing another good work, it made me so happy these two days! There is a kind of peeping illusion of Xia Tian's experience in the past few years, which is quite psychedelic. I hope to continue writing in the summer; I like to have deep friendship through words. Gratitude. (Digression: I have been reading your articles since Love Will Not Die. However, for some reason, the one I remember most in my heart is always Xu Xinqiao. I think there will be one more Shang Ruoshui now.)
