Journey to the West: Where Do the Phoenixes Roost?

I’ve wanted to write a Journey to the West fanfic for ages. This is a story about getting together with the Great Sage. My last few stories are on temporary hiatus because I’ve been swamped with schoolwork, so you can probably guess that this one is another abandoned pit. Still, feel free to dive in, because I absolutely won’t drop it! Lan Zhiyue spent seven years as an extra, but she was still an obscure little actress. Just when she thought she’d never get her big break, she transmigrated. A top-tier face, magic that goes biu-biu and glows, everything about this body screams standard novel protagonist! She tried feeling for the nonexistent protagonist’s halo above her head. Lan Zhiyue decided that there was always a way forward! A fantasy world would be much more challenging for her, Lan Zhiyue, actress and aspiring movie queen (?)! But when she saw that monkey clad in golden armor and riding on a seven-colored cloud, she suddenly realized: Wasn’t this the Great Sage?! So this was the world of Journey to the West? And she was some kind of phoenix spirit? But the strangest thing wasn’t any of that. It was that the Great Sage here was so freaking weird! The female lead is a sarcastic queen who seems noble, aloof, and otherworldly, but is actually a goofball. The male lead is irritable and wild, capable of going anywhere and doing anything, but is actually a tsundere. One-on-one romance.
