Admissions Document [2024] No. 3

Dear Shen Du,

After review, you have been officially admitted to the 2026 cohort of our Zhongnan School of Magical Cultivation, majoring in Spells and Communication with the Celestial. (Program code: 0102.) The program lasts six years.

Please bring this notice and report to Taichu Valley, Mount Zhongnan, Chang'an City, Huaguo, between 8:00 and 12:00 on the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month (August 21 on the Gregorian calendar). Navigate to "Old Ma's Farmhouse," then turn left onto the unpaved road. When you see the "Military Management Zone" sign, honk three times.

Registration requirements:

1. Bring your ID card, this notice (a spirit-energy copy must include a verification code), and four one-inch headshots without headwear (no magical photography).

2. The school will arrange shared rooms for four. Mundane pets are prohibited. Gu insects must be registered with a breeding permit.

3. Tuition is fully waived. Room and board costs will be offset by work-study harvesting resources from secret realms.

Important:

- This notice was delivered by spirit energy. If it spontaneously combusts, immerse it in purified water (do not use mineral water). It will restore itself within 24 hours.

- If you decide not to enroll, submit a written statement within seven business days. Otherwise, you will be entered into the National Daoist Talent Integrity Registry (this may affect your ability to buy discounted plane tickets in the future; the reason is classified).

- You are advised not to attempt sword flight or explode talismans before enrollment. If you are injured as a result, you are responsible for the consequences.

- Tell your mortal friends and family: "I got into XX Vocational and Technical College."

Enclosed is one school badge. Use a drop of fingertip blood to bind it to yourself. If you fail three times, use blood from your middle finger.

Anyone who still fails will be dealt with by their counselor after registration.

Dear student, from the moment you read these words, you are no longer an ordinary person, though over the next six years you'll repeatedly discover that you're still a long way from being extraordinary.

Welcome to a world that looks magical but isn't all that magical.
