Later, whenever I had nothing to do, I'd stop by the clinic and listen to Gui Qin play. Her music was smooth and flowing, but to my ears it sounded cold and sorrowful. She said I didn't understand music. I laughed and told her she didn't understand me.
Later still, I received a sunset-colored guqin from the young master. I thought of simply putting it away, but that would have been an insult to such a fine instrument, so I named it Crane Bone and began learning to play from Gui Qin whenever I had time.
The guqin was called Crane Bone, and the young master's name also contained the character for crane. Seeing it made me think of him.
My story with the young master may have begun when the Xingyun Pavilion took me in. I was an abandoned baby they had picked up. The young master was seven years older than me. Xingyun Pavilion was a martial world sect, and before I came of age, I lived more like a young lord, while the young master fought outside and I enjoyed a leisurely, refined life.
After coming of age, I no longer wanted to waste my days away, so I changed the course of my life.
Just reading the introduction of this book, I feel that this book is very good. I am interested in its story after just reading two chapters. The writing style is also good, and it has a sense of clarity.
