Many years ago, at the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, a man once held his horse's reins and said to him, "Whenever you come to Jiangnan, I'll welcome you with open arms."
He didn't yet understand what "welcome you with open arms" meant. He only remembered the burning sincerity in the man's eyes, like Jiangnan in the misty rain, as he said those words.
The first sentence above is borrowed from the opening of a certain novel. Since its story wasn't my own idea, and I felt that "welcome you with open arms" deserved a beautiful story and shouldn't be ruined, I decided to write one.
But this story has no connection to the contents of that novel. It is simply a story that came to me when I read its first sentence.
I always feel like I've read the novel mentioned in the introduction, but I can't remember the name.
