Burning the Body to Aid the Phoenix II: Shaking the Eastern Plains

She stood proudly above all, reigning as emperor over the realm. Her charisma and authority inspired the powerful to submit willingly. She has tasted both sweetness and bitterness. She regained a loyal general she had lost, only to gain and lose love in turn. The one thing unchanged through the centuries is her face. She is the pride of the He family, yet after unifying the realm, she longs even more to return to an ordinary life. The untouchable being whom all the people of the realm worship eventually kneels before the woman she loves. This is the sequel to Burning Body to Support the Phoenix. Unlike the heavy, oppressive style of the previous work, this story showcases the heroine's full charm and explains many plot points from its predecessor.
