The Three-Eyed Detective Series

He was a celebrated young detective in the imperial police, with an uncanny ability to see through every detail, as if he possessed a mysterious third “eye of justice.” People called him the reincarnation of Yang Jian. Yet overnight, he fell from the heights into the dust: blind, and stripped of his martial arts.

She had a mysterious past, wore white as bright as snow, and was skilled in music and discerning in her judgments. A beautiful woman with a vast store of knowledge, she played music beyond compare. People called her a goddess of music who had descended to earth. Yet she chose to serve at his side, seeming to feel something for him, then not, cold one moment and tender the next.

The eight great afflictions of life, birth, aging, sickness, death; separation from those we love; meeting those we hate; being unable to obtain what we desire; and the burning of the five skandhas, give rise to eight bizarre, uncanny cases. How will he and she dispel the layers of mystery, uncover the truth behind each case, and reveal the innermost troubles of all who live?
