The shou is a complicated and conflicted 27-year-old man. He was sent to prison for taking revenge for his younger sister. He had planned to quietly serve his sentence, but instead he was bullied in prison. Along the way, he gradually realized that he liked men and fell in love with the gong.
The gong is the second-in-command of a local gang. He went to prison to take the fall for the boss and plans to take over the gang once he gets out. He meets the shou in prison and falls in love at first sight. He helps the shou escape the attentions of the other inmates and wins his heart.
The plot gets a little angsty, since the shou is a conflicted person to begin with, and there are a few kinky scenes in prison... The author has rather dark tastes, so the whole novel has a somewhat dark feel, though there are a few sweet moments mixed in, too.
