A Safe Distance

He had loved Lu Sheng for many years. After building up the courage for years, he finally approached him and wished to give up everything in exchange for a lifetime with Lu Sheng.

But he had nothing to begin with, so the equation behind his wish was doomed from the start.

Pei Yunsheng wanted to spend his life with Lu Sheng.

But Lu Sheng had already worked out when he would leave him.

In a nutshell: The person Pei Yunsheng loves is perfect in his eyes, except that he doesn't love him back.

A quiet, aloof, cold-on-the-outside, warm-on-the-inside iceberg beauty uke.

A cunning, gentle, warm-on-the-outside, cold-on-the-inside scum seme.

_(:з"∠)_ I've been in the mood for angsty stories lately, so I'm writing one for my own amusement. First the uke suffers, then the seme. It includes the seme winning over his wife, running away, and then chasing him back. I know my writing isn't great, and anything controversial in the story is my fault.

Content warning: Old-school melodrama! The seme is a huge scumbag! A huge, huge scumbag!!! It's extremely, extremely melodramatic!!!
