This is my first story set in the Republican era. Most of the works I've read from this period involve war or other unusual circumstances. Since this is a short story, I've downplayed that aspect, and I don't want to make everyone cry their eyes out.
Simply put, two young ladies who grew up together eventually end up together.
To me, the best kind of love is just like this: two people together for life, with eyes only for each other, even willing to give up everything for the other.
Haha, though that's a little difficult in real life.
