The Taoist Priest Always Wants to Eat Ginseng (Reborn)

As a ginseng spirit, what should he do when people are always eyeing him as something to eat? Resist to the death, or meekly give in?

In his previous life, he recklessly went to the demon-slaying clan that was his natural enemy to seize a treasure brimming with spiritual energy. In the end, they tore out his tendons, skinned him alive, and roasted him into cooked ginseng.

After being reborn, he couldn't understand why the person he'd nearly killed was determined to tie him up and take him home for a feast. Was he being fattened up to make him easier to eat? Meanwhile, people he'd had nothing to do with kept framing him at every turn, hounding him relentlessly.

Was this really karma coming around? Had he been all that unruly, anyway?

Shang Li: "Wait, let me get this straight."

A little taste of the story:

Basically, Shang Li was sneaking a peek... umm.

Daoist Bai, exasperated at his lack of sense: "You know you shouldn't look or listen to indecent things, right?"

Shang Li: "Is there a rule against doing indecent things, too?"

Daoist Bai (raising an eyebrow): "Not yet. What, are you hoping to put it into practice?" And then...

Shang Li (panicking): "No, no, no! Let's talk this out. Why are you getting handsy? Hey!? Ah..."

Later.

Daoist Bai (wiping away a nosebleed): "Seems eating too much ginseng isn't good for you."

Shang Li (furious): "Want me to cripple you?"

Daoist Bai (hmm?): "Didn't you say I should build up my strength?"

Shang Li (twitching): "I didn't tell you to eat it every day..."

One-on-one, happy ending. A reckless, unruly monster bottom VS a domineering, devoted Daoist top. (Both leads are good-looking, and the top appears in chapter three, so don't ship the wrong couple!)
