I Am the Tomb Keeper

Beishan isn't a mountain. It's a tomb, and Feng Shengmu is its guardian, from the age of six to eighteen. Feng Shengmu knows that the tomb holds no human remains. The tarot reader asks him, "With the destiny of an emperor, worth seven taels and two qian, don't you want to live a good life?" "It's not that I don't want to. I can't." To him, Beishan is like the Heavenly Pool to a luopan compass. Without the Heavenly Pool, the compass cannot determine north and south, distinguish yin from yang, or tell apart the eight trigrams and nine palaces. The flow of qi and the direction of the dragon veins cannot be investigated.

Guarding tombs, robbing tombs, opening and closing tombs, he asks the tarot reader, "If I wanted to leave, would you dare take me with you?"

"...Of course. My future wife is always tucked into my waistband. Wherever I go, I take her with me!"
