Whose Youth Leaves No Regrets?

When I was young, I loved her deeply. I carved her name into every needle and pressed them into my heart. If I ever dared to forget you, may they pierce me and make me hurt to the bone.

But once upon a time, I foolishly thought that holding hands with the one you love might be hard for others to achieve, but you and I could be together forever. Yet fate toys with us all. It turns out that sweet dreams really are the easiest to wake from.

Though I lost you, though I confused you with someone else, truly loving someone has never been about recognizing them with your eyes alone.
