[Mirkwood Father and Son] Where the Heart Belongs

After the One Ring was destroyed, Gandalf, driven by a premonition, saw a prophecy with Elrond: the Dark Lord would return to Middle-earth with a new Dark Leader at his side. When Legolas returned to Mirkwood with Aragorn and Gimli, following the Orcs who had deliberately revealed their trail, he saw his father again. Lofty and imperious, still beautiful and powerful, still cold and heartless. He disagreed with his father's choices, but had never imagined he would lose him so easily. The towering floating mountains above, the surging river of blood, the cliff face divided between light and shadow, and the body of the Elvenking pinned to the cliff by a broken sword became his lifelong nightmare. By the time he finally understood, by the time he had grown up, the person who mattered most was no longer by his side. When they met again, he stood beside the Dark Lord Sauron, dressed in black, his entire body cold. He had become a Dark Elf corrupted by darkness, commanding the dark army in a desperate battle against the entire alliance. What path would they take now? The main story is mostly about family bonds. I'll add pairing tags for the bonus chapters separately. This story has a happy ending. Theme:
