Bewitching the Heart

Female lead is not a virgin, male lead is a virgin / Both are reborn A scheming beauty of peerless allure x a self-disciplined, principled nobleman on a lofty peak After the Kingdom of Nanzheng fell, the emperor ordered the ruler of Zheng and his close attendants escorted to Bianjing. Among them was the ruler's consort, Liang Huayue, whose beauty could bring a kingdom to ruin. The emperor's intentions were plain as day. Unexpectedly, along the way, Prince Heng Xiao Mingshu and Consort Liang both disappeared. A few days later, they appeared at a Taoist temple deep in the mountains. Xiao Mingshu said, "Since Your Highness does not wish to remarry and serve two husbands, then stay here in obscurity and cultivate your character. In three years, I'll set you free. No one will ever be able to hold you back again." In her previous life, her beauty had brought disaster, government had fallen into disarray, and the people had suffered. To prevent the emperor from repeating the mistakes of the past, Xiao Mingshu chose what he believed was the best ending for Huayue. Huayue gazed at the man she had yearned for through two lifetimes. She had had no choice in her previous life, but in this one, she was determined to be his wife in the mortal world. How could she willingly be confined to this ascetic Taoist temple? So, tears glistening in her eyes, she walked up to Xiao Mingshu, draped her arms over his shoulders, and offered him a moist kiss. Her fragrance lingered, and yearning wound around his heart. Her voice trembled as she whispered, "Your Highness, can you truly bear to part with me?" The snowlight was cold, tree shadows layered thickly around them. In the silent, timeworn Taoist temple, Xiao Mingshu's breath caught and his heart pounded. 1. The female lead is a consort from another kingdom, while the male lead is a prince of this kingdom. 2.
