There is a kind of demon in this world born from the human heart, known as an "anomaly demon." When a person becomes consumed by greed, and that desire grows strong enough, an anomaly demon is born in response. They take human form, swagger through the streets, beguile people's hearts, prey upon all living things, and wreak havoc among mortals.
The alluring fruit that makes people addicted once they taste it; the twinvine that can steal another person's fame and success; the golden fur coat that can turn someone into a white fox; the Nanke pillow that traps people in sweet dreams; the Book of Life and Death that can add years to one's lifespan; the Guanyin statue that can make a woman give birth to a boy... The multitudes of humanity are consumed by greed, anger, obsession, and hatred, their desires springing up everywhere. Demons offer humans one wondrous object after another, but the human heart is never satisfied. Once someone accepts the bait a demon holds out, what price will they have to pay?
I saw it a long time ago, but I still can't find it 💪
