Spirited Away: Coming for You

I always felt Chihiro wasn't worthy of Haku, so I'm writing a protagonist who is. Since I'm a fujoshi, this is a danmei novel.

Sakura Shuya sat on the steps, smiling at Haku. "Do you know who I came here for?"

Haku gazed quietly at Sakura Shuya. "When you're ready to tell me, I'll know."

Sakura Shuya smiled and tucked his hair behind his ear. "Nigihayami Kohakunushi, do you know? I met you a long time ago, before you came here."

Haku's eyes flickered, his expression filled with indescribable surprise. "You know me? Who are you?"

Sakura Shuya stood up, leaving Haku with the sight of his thin back. "When you saved Chihiro, I was right behind her. You saved Chihiro, and I..." Sank to the bottom of the river.

White paper cranes fluttered behind Sakura Shuya, beautiful and sorrowful. Looking at his retreating figure, Haku clutched his chest in pain.

This story contains some angst.
