The little nine-tailed fox Yaoyao is so charming that her admirers are scattered across all three realms.
The Demon Path captured her people and forced her to seduce the Holy Lord of the Immortal Realm, and break his cultivation and magic.
For her people, Yaoyao swayed her little waist as she sneaked into the Immortal Palace.
Her goal: sleep with the legendary Holy Lord, then run away.
The Holy Lord arrived, and all the immortals bowed their heads.
Yaoyao secretly looked up at the Holy Lord standing tall on the dais.
Strong legs.
The little fox's eyes lit up.
Firm muscles.
The little fox rubbed her hands together excitedly.
A handsome face.
The little fox couldn't help wagging her fluffy tail.
Her gaze continued upward.
A stern, cold gaze, a gleaming bald head...
The little fox: !!!
The little fox suddenly remembered that the Holy Lord was a monk who had renounced all worldly emotions and desires.
And not just any monk, but one who had lived for tens of thousands of years, with unshakable resolve and an unceasing devotion to ascetic practice.
No wonder even the Shark Queen, the demon world's most skilled seductress, couldn't shake his cultivation.
The little fox stared, longing, at the slender, muscular body wrapped in the man's sacred robes, and wiped away her drool.
Whatever. She'd sleep with him first and figure the rest out later.
Five hundred years later, humans, demons, immortals, and gods clashed in a war that shook the three realms, splitting the earth and leaving countless lives in ruin.
The little fox was struck dead on the battlefield by 9,900 divine punishments.
Her body shattered, reduced to dust.
As her soul dispersed, she wagged her tail at the Holy Lord.
Monk, it hurts so much...
Tens of thousands of years later, everyone still remembered the great catastrophe that had shaken the three realms.
That day, the Holy Lord leaped down from the dais, futilely reaching for the little fox that had long since vanished from the air.
Even smoke leaves a trace.
Even dust leaves a mark.
But the little fox had vanished completely, her soul destroyed. She would never enter reincarnation, and had disappeared without a trace.
Across the three realms and five lands, beneath the ancient, boundless heavens,
there would never be another little fox.
And so, the immortals witnessed with their own eyes
the aloof and noble Holy Lord, steadfast as stone, shedding tears of blood as he fell into demonic corruption.
He slaughtered demons, massacred immortals...
And slew gods!
A few notes:
The past-life side story can be read as a standalone story.
1. In this story, the three realms broadly refer to the human realm, the demon realm, the immortal realm, and the gods. Humans can cultivate and become immortals, demons can be subdued by immortals, and demons are shunned. The gods rule over everything and remain indifferent to it all. The realms are not separate, and each is locked in its own wars and slaughter. Humans are as powerless as ants, and their fate is tragic.
2. The heroine is rather fickle in love.
3. She's a beautiful fox spirit, of course it's a wish-fulfillment story.
Theme: Never be enslaved.
