When Lu Zhiqiu opened his eyes again, he found himself surrounded by several handsome young men.
They told him this was a Honmaru, and that he was its new Saniwa.
The place called a Honmaru was decrepit. There was enough dust and cobwebs in the corners to weave a blanket.
The young men chattered about things Lu Zhiqiu couldn't understand, then finally sent over a teary-eyed boy to ask him, "Saniwa, you'll make the Honmaru better, right?"
Lu Zhiqiu: "..."
After living there for a while, Lu Zhiqiu discovered that the Honmaru lay in a rift in space and time. He could talk to people on the other side simply by standing in the courtyard.
A pureblood wizarding nobleman's son, a billionaire playboy from New York, a rich kid from Gotham... Ha, they sure knew exactly how poor he was.
There were also Japanese high school students with all kinds of strange abilities, which always left Lu Zhiqiu feeling guilty, as if he were taking money from children.
...What else could he do? Farm, sell things. There wasn't much else to this ramshackle Honmaru.
At most, he could also help the people on the other side sort out their life or relationship problems.
Until one day, someone asked him, "What does it mean to go on a date? Can you come see me?"
Lu Zhiqiu: Oh, so I'm not just scamming people out of money.
...I'm selling my looks, too.
Later, Lu Zhiqiu traveled between the Honmaru and the real world with his swords.
He stayed in Tokyo for a while. Tiny Tokyo, where the world ended every few days.
He went on a trip to New York. Vast New York, with an alien spaceship even bigger than the city.
He fled to London. High above Europe, outside the airplane window, someone was riding a broomstick while a magical duel shook the skies.
Hey, you're going to hit the plane!
What kind of world is this!?
Being forced to work, forced to sell his looks, and chased around by creditors over money and love debts would have been bad enough. Why did disaster plots break out everywhere he went?
...Was he going to be forced to save the world, too!?
Reader's Guide:
1. The protagonist is the gong. He isn't a weak gong, and there is no role reversal.
2. A sequel to Growth Handbook, with a few connections to the previous story. The whole novel is free.
3. A massive crossover. I'll include whatever I feel like, so out-of-character portrayals are inevitable. If you're very particular about characterization, this may not be for you. If you don't like it, please leave, and be kind in the comments.
Theme: No matter what, live with effort, enthusiasm, and sincerity.
