"Why?" "Because... I like you." The boy's smile was bright and dazzling, lighting up what little carefree time Shen Yunhuan had. Then one day, she went out under the blazing sun to buy Chi Yan a drink, only to hear his friend ask, "Seriously? You kissed her? She's so ugly. How could you bring yourself to kiss her?" The wonderful boy she had imagined answered casually, "Close your eyes, and kissing anyone feels the same." Holding the ice-cold drink, Shen Yunhuan leaned against the wall around the corner and slowly blinked several times. After the college entrance exams, Shen Yunhuan was dumped, just as anyone would have expected. A whole crowd laughed and mocked her. Her dark eyes were utterly desolate, so still that Chi Yan felt a sudden, inexplicable pang of unease. - Years later, Shen Yunhuan represented her company in negotiations with Chixing Group, only to discover that Chi Yan was Chixing's general manager. Looking at the enormous bouquet of roses on the table, Shen Yunhuan's dark eyes beneath her long lashes were almost indifferent. "Why?" Chi Yan said earnestly, "Because I like you."
