This story is entirely fictional. Any resemblance to actual people or events is purely coincidental.
Setting:
An alternate world under imperial rule, inspired by the Hongwu era of the Ming Dynasty. The dynasty is called Zhu, its imperial surname is Zhu, and bright yellow is the color of highest status.
Synopsis:
Yang Jun, the protagonist Liu Lingyun's colleague and friend, somehow gets hold of a treasure map and persuades the cash-strapped Liu Lingyun to join him in searching for the treasure.
The so-called treasure map is actually a map leading into an ancient tomb. When they reach their destination, the protagonist's instincts tell him something is wrong, and he wants to turn back. Yang Jun provokes him, though, and the warrior's pride urges him onward. The two gather their gear and enter the tomb. Its traps are layered one after another, but thanks to the protagonist's excellent sixth sense and his companion's nimble hands, they make it to the main chamber in one piece. The room is filled with gold, silver, and jade, dazzling them so much that they overlook the strange characters scattered throughout the tomb and the dark shadow that appears and disappears. The protagonist fails to notice his companion's eyes turn red, then black again. While the protagonist is off guard, his companion attacks him with a hidden weapon. Near death, the protagonist is possessed by the vengeful spirit of a princess, awakening his Wu clan bloodline.
Among the objects unearthed from the tomb, the most dazzling and beautiful is a red jewel in the mouth of a lifelike mummy. It is crystal clear and gives off a strange fragrance. Yang Jun believes the jewel is what kept the corpse from decaying and must be worth a fortune. He presents the gold, silver, and jewels to the Fourth Prince, skims some for himself, and keeps the red jewel. After that, his temperament changes drastically. He commits an offense in the emperor's presence and, hoping to win a pardon, presents the red jewel to the emperor's favorite consort. That very night, he and the consort both die suddenly. The emperor is enraged, and the palace is thrown into turmoil. The princes' temperaments all change, rumors of the Nine Dragons vying for the throne spread, and ominous black mist hangs over the imperial city...
I feel like I found a good author
As long as you update, I will watch.
First, spread the flowers ~ Looking forward to the big salted egg article!
I have been waiting for this book, thank you for persisting
Very good, but the update is too slow. I have read Washing the Dust in the Drizzle many times, and I hope this one will be faster as well.
I found out that many of my favorites, including Xiao Yu Da Da Da Da from Washing the Dust, have returned to the world, and some of them were once closed down. I'm so happy. Behart.
As wise as I am, after saving for who knows how long, I can finally read two chapters in a row.
Who is Master Shang? After looking at the back, I forgot about the front.
I don't have enough brains to read this series every day.
Press a paw and leave a mark. Next chapter.
